Boon & Associates is a professional firm of Chartered Accountants registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Established in 2004 by our founding partner, Mr. Tan Tee Boon, the firm has built a solid reputation for delivering high-quality audit, taxation, accounting, and advisory services.
Mr. Tan, a Chartered Accountant registered with MIA since 1993 and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) since 1991, is also an approved auditor under the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia. He began his career in 1984 and brings over 30 years of professional experience across auditing, taxation, accounting, and corporate secretarial services. His core expertise lies in business development, audit and assurance, taxation,
and advisory for business owners.
Recognising the growing complexity in the accounting and auditing landscape—driven by evolving financial reporting standards, enhanced audit requirements, and corporate governance challenges—the firm underwent a strategic expansion in 2017. This involved a collaboration with Mr. Lam Wai Min and his team, bringing in additional technical capacity and over 40 years of experience in auditing, liquidation, and taxation. Despite the expansion, the firm retained the Boon & Associates brand name.
Today, Boon & Associates serves approximately 400 clients across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, trading, property development, construction, professional services, etc.
All audit engagements are conducted in accordance with the Approved Standards on Auditing in Malaysia and the International Standards on Auditing (ISA). Our objective is to obtain reasonable assurance that the financial statements we audit are free from material misstatement—whether due to fraud or error—and to issue an independent auditor’s report that reflects our professional opinion.
